Miraflores: The Heart of Modern Lima

Miraflores is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Lima. This upscale district boasts a prime location along the Pacific coast, offering breathtaking ocean views and a lively atmosphere. Here, you’ll find a perfect blend of modern amenities and colonial charm, with trendy restaurants, boutiques, and parks dotting the landscape. An excellent option to stay in Miraflores is the Belmond Miraflores Park Hotel. There are also plenty of the chain hotels making it an easy walkable area.

Barranco: The Bohemian Gem

Barranco is a charming and bohemian neighborhood that has long been a haven for artists and creatives. Its colorful streets, vibrant street art, and lively plazas make it a must-visit destination. Be prepared to stroll around and stop for lunch it’s a perfect afternoon.

San Isidro

We stayed at one of the top hotels in Lima which is the Hyatt Centric San Isidro. This stylish and contemporary hotel offers luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and a prime location in an upscale residential and business neighborhood.  The hotel’s rooftop pool and bar provide stunning panoramic views of the city and the ocean, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploration. The staff made our week-long stay fantastic, they could not have been more helpful with tours, restaurant suggestions and just greeting us like we were staying in a small inn every time we came in the door. Whether you decide to stay in Barranco , Miraflores or San Isidro you can’t go wrong. They all feel safe and plenty to do in each neighborhood and Ubers are easy to use.

Start your journey in the Historic Center of Lima, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. No visit to Lima would be complete without indulging in the city’s world-renowned culinary scene. From traditional Peruvian dishes to innovative fusion cuisine, Lima’s restaurants offer a tantalizing array of flavors and experiences. For a truly unique dining experience, visit La Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant located next to ancient ruins that offers stunning views and traditional Peruvian fare.
